Ones & Zeroes

Today I bring you part I of “Ones & Zeroes’.

I wrote, directed and edited this video with the help of my wife. God bless her soul.

I’d been feeling uneasy for the last couple of months. For the last two weeks I made the choice to leave social media entirely or become as inactive as possible. I’ve lost so much of myself existing here, realizing that no matter what I give of me, what sort of genius I bring, it is deeply unappreciated and, again, criminally underpaid.

If I am to be active, I’ll try to bring us as much of my art as possible. Ergo this piece.

If you can/want to contribute to help me continue to create more of these (along with my blog), I’m down for the exchange and the flowers (this is a job in which I bleed, after all):

No amount is too small nor too big.

Los quiero.

P.S. I’ve been waiting on something to give for my career and things are definitely looking up. Thanks for your love and support.

P.P.S. Don’t forget to share with your friends.

Ones & Zeroes
I had to leave the promise land
The country that was to elevate me and my people
(All propaganda, man!)
To heal from all the evil that was inflicted on my physical mental and spiritual
To put back together the whole that I once was
A curious child a creative a dreamer
(You feel me, fam?!)
I had to come back to my birthplace
So my village and the elders could repair the link that I once had with the people
For I was a virtual scion
A digital renegade
Bringing hope and fear into the hearts of other avatars
I became so lethal that I poisoned myself in the process and all that remained of my humanity was my carcass
(For real, for my people?!)
A modern lawnmower man
And what did I gain from that?
Deception beyond comprehension
I became toxic to myself and the very people I set out to protect and represent
I became the wolf that terrorized the tribe
My God, man
(I had no equal!)
